Our Duck United Methodist Church mission team returned from Rwanda last week, and they shared stories from their trip in worship on Sunday. On the trip, they encouraged our orphans currently in the empowerment program, and they gave hope to those orphans we hope to sponsor this year. Orphans who are currently a part of ZOE's ministry have started small businesses and learned to care for themselves. The new group of orphans avoid making eye contact because they lack a sense of self-worth. They struggle to understand their circumstances and if God can even be good. It's amazing how much life change can happen year after year.
Below, you'll see some images from this year's trip. It starts with images from the success stories and celebration, and it ends with the long faces of those 225 orphans we hope to sponsor this year. Also, in the video on the bottom you can listen to testimonies from our team. If you'd like more info about ZOE or would like to sponsor an orphans for $350/year, click HERE.
Thank you to all from Duck Church and beyond who sponsored Rwandan orphans in 2019! God has used you in amazing ways.
