Would you like to know more about Duck Church? The Connect Seminar will meet in the church Fellowship Sunday School Classroom on March 17th, from 3:00-6:00 PM.
The Connect Seminar is the first of our series of four Discipleship Seminars. It is intended for all of our people: those who are already members, those who would like to become members, and those who would like to be active in Duck Church while leaving their official membership at another church.
Hope you can join us! Please confirm your attendance by contacting Laura at the church office (261-1525) by March 14th.
Duck United Methodist Church is committed to transforming the lives of orphans and vulnerable children in Rwanda. Through ZOE, children are empowered to grow their own food, start small businesses, learn about health and hygiene, enroll in school, and strengthen their relationship with God.
In February, Debbie Breit, Noah Breit, Debby Lucast, Mystie Lucast, Debbie Stanchina, and David Thompson traveled from the Outer Banks to Rwanda. They visited orphans already sponsored by Duck UMC, and they met the new group of orphans that we hope to sponsor this year.
If you would like to sponsor a ZOE orphan, it only costs $350 for one child to go through the entire 3 year program, and they will graduate empowered to care for their own needs. Please prayerfully consider making a commitment. You don't have to pay in full until the end of the year. If you would like to sponsor an orphan, you go to the "Give" tab at the top of our web page, www.duckchurch.org or contact Debbie Breit, education@duckchurch.org or 252-261-1525 x106.
